Artificial general intelligence

Artificial general intelligence (AGI) is a research goal: a system that can learn and carry out a wide range of tasks, not one narrow job. No model in this catalog is AGI.

Expanded definition

AGI is not a product name and not a benchmark score. Today's systems are narrow: a language model, an image model, a speech model, or an agent with tools. They can be strong on published tasks and still fail outside their training and tools. When a vendor says general, read the model card for the actual inputs, outputs, and limits. GenAIWiki does not label any current model as AGI.
